England ‘Brexits’ Out of the World Cup Final, Croatia To Meet France

The World Cup semifinals are now officially over in thrilling matches that were streamed live on both DStv and GOtv, setting the mood ready for the much-awaited finals coming up on Sunday with teams that majority of fans never expected will kiss the final line.

The first semi was between France and Belgium. Most Kenyans were rooting for France but they were worried about Belgium breaking their hearts by sending France off to the third or fourth position after the World Cup. When the match kicked off, the Belgians played like real pros, and at some point, they seemed as though they had already won. France demolished them by clobbering them one goal to nil.

The second much-talked about the match was between Croatia and England. With their beautiful President in France to personally cheer her team, many people thought that Madam President would return home a disappointed mum.

Many people, therefore, were supporting England with almost all their hopes banked on Harry Kane, the leading top scorer in this year’s World Cup. Their support for England was confirmed when within the first five minutes, the ball was already dancing in the Croatian net.  The Croatians were put off balance for a while, throughout the first half until team England thought they had won. During the second half, the Croatians pulled a surprise, ending the match on a 1:1 draw during the normal 90 plus three minutes. The additional 30 minutes were enough to ‘brexit’ England from the World Cup.

The World Cup final is now between Croatia and France. The majority of football lovers are rooting for France while some are torn between France and Croatia. Who will take the trophy home?

All eyes now on DStv and GOtv for the clear and live coverage of the finals!
