Olympia Capital Kicks Off The Week as Top Gainer of the Day

Top Gainers

Olympia Capital kicked off the week with a rejuvenated energy as the top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).

Olympia gained 9.09 percent at the price of 3.00 shillings per share followed by Nairobi Business Ventures with 8.33 percent at the price of 1.95 shillings per share.

Uchumi Supermarket, Mumias Sugar Company, and Eveready East Africa gained 7.14 percent each at the price of 1.50, 0.75 and 1.50 shillings per share respectively.

Top Losers

Standard Group was the top loser of the day. The company lost 6.25 percent at the price of 30.00 shillings per share followed by Trans-Century with 5.13 percent at the price of 3.70 shillings per share.

Eaagads and Kenya Power and Lighting Company lost 5.00 and 3.97 percent at the price of 19.00 and 6.05 shillings per share respectively. Longhorn Kenya, on the other hand, lost 3.16 percent at the price of 4.60 shillings per share.

Top Movers

The top mover of the day was Barclays Bank of Kenya who sold 3.29 million shares followed by Mumias Sugar Company who sold 2.11 million shares.

Kenya Commercial Bank sold 1.74 million shares while Kenya Power and Lighting Company sold 711,000 shares while Safaricom PLC sold 656,500 shares.
