KenolKobil emerged as the top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) as talks on possible delisting go on if the Rubis SCA takeover deal goes through.
KenolKobil gained 30.72 percent at the price of 20.00 shillings per share followed by Total Kenya with 9.35 percent at the price of 29.25 shillings per share.
Stanlib Fahari Income –REIT, Uchumi Supermarket and Eveready East Africa gained 8.00, 7.69 and 7.69 percent at the price of 10.80, 0.70 and 1.40 shillings per share respectively.
Umeme was the top loser of the day with 9.88 percent at the price of 7.75 shillings per share followed by Sameer Africa with a loss of 6.38 percent at the price of 2.20 shillings per share.
Mumias Sugar Company, Co-operative Bank and BOC Kenya lost 5.56, 2.78 and 2.41 percent at the price of 0.85, 14.00 and 81.00 shillings per share respectively.
The top mover of the day was Safaricom PLC who sold 3.62 million shares followed by Kenya Power and Lighting Company who sold 3.23 million shares.
Equity Group, Kenya Commercial Bank and Co-operative Bank sold 2.20, 1.90 and 1.67 million shares respectively.
