Trans-Century Kicks Off The Week As Top Gainer as NSE Tails

Kenyan Stock Market Exhibited a Downward Trend in October top Safaricom Plc Top

Trans-Century kicked off the week as the top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) with 9.86 percent at the price of 8.33 shillings per share.

The second top gainer of the day was Mumias Sugar Company with 8.33 percent at the price of 0.65 shillings per share.

Nairobi Business Ventures, Kenya Airways, and Britam Holdings gained 7.14, 4.55 and 3.60 percent at the price of 1.50, 11.50 and 11.50 shillings per share respectively.

The top loser of the day was Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) with 9.09 percent at the price of 13.50 shillings per share followed by Sanlam Kenya with a loss of 8.70 percent at the price of 21.00 shillings per share.

Eaagads, Crowne Berger and Home Afrika lost 8.33, 7.60 and 5.88 percent at the price of 16.50, 79.00 and 0.80 shillings per share respectively.

Safaricom PLC was the top mover of the day after selling 8.48 million shares followed by Kenya Commercial Bank with a volume of 1.12 million shares.

KenolKobil, Equity Group and Deacons (East Africa) sold 676,800, 358,700 and 350,100 shares respectively.
