HIV

There is a glimmer of hope for HIV/AIDS patients after the new drug for treating the dreaded disease tested 99 percent effective.

Scientists in Israel say that the world will soon have a reprieve following the new treatment called Gammora that will be able to cure and eliminate the disease.

Unlike the antiretroviral drug, the ARV, Gammora is able to reduce the viral load in human beings by killing all the infected cells without causing harm to living cells.

According to the scientists, the new drug is able to do away with 99 percent of HIV by inserting the virus’s genetic material into the DNA of the infected cell.

Patients who took part in the trial period saw the reduction of the virus in their bodies by up to 90 percent within the first four weeks of administering the drug.
