The top gainer of the day (Monday) at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) was Umeme who gained 9.33 percent at the price of 8.20 shillings per share.
Uchumi Supermarket was the second top gainer with 8.82 percent at the price of 0.74 shillings per share followed by Flame Tree Group with 8.33 percent at the price of 3.25 shillings per share.
Home Afrika and Trans-Century gained 4.48 and 4.35 percent at the price of 0.70 and 3.60 shillings per share respectively.
The top loser of the day was Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT with 10.00 percent at the price of 9.00 shillings per share followed by National Bank with a loss of 9.09 percent at the price of 5.20 shillings per share.
Eveready East Africa, Olympia Capital, and Kenya Power and Lighting Company lost 7.89, 7.49 and 6.71 percent at the price of 1.05, 2.10 and 3.20 shillings per share respectively.
Safaricom PLC was the top mover of the day after selling 2.72 million shares followed by Equity Group who sold 2.36 million shares.
Kenya Commercial Bank sold 2.33 million shares while Mumias Sugar Company and Kenya Electricity Generating Company sold 422,700 and 359,300 shares respectively.
