Sanlam Kenya Emerges As Top Gainer on Tuesday as BK Group Tails

Kenyan Stock Market Exhibited a Downward Trend in October top Safaricom Plc Top

Sanlam Kenya was the top gainer of the day at the NSE with 6.61 percent at the price of 25.00 shillings per share followed by Flame Tree Group with 4.17 percent at the price of 2.50 shillings per share.

Nation Media Group, Total Kenya and Kapchorua Tea Kenya gained 4.09, 3.16 and 1.92 percent at the price of 70.00, 31.00 and 79.50 shillings per share respectively.

BK Group and Uchumi Supermarket dominated the top losers’ table with 9.52 percent each at the price of 28.05 and 0.76 shillings per share respectively.

The East African Cables, Sameer Africa, and Umeme lost 9.35, 9.30 and 8.80 percent at the price of 2.81, 1.95 and 6.84 shillings per share respectively.

Safaricom continued as the top mover of the day after selling 7.06 million shares followed by Kenya Commercial Bank with 3.25 million shares.

Equity Group, KenolKobil, and Kenya Power and Lighting Company sold 2.49, 1.36 and 1.01 million shares respectively.
