The Huduma Namba registration process that began on 18th February 2019 and targeted to register over 50 million citizens at the cost of 6 billion shillings is soon drawing to its deadline.
Kenyans registered on the system according to the Presidential Delivery Unit (PDU) total to 20 million so far out of the estimated 52 million by the United Nations. A majority of Kenyans have been against the process which they feel bullied into.
The 20 million Kenyans registered on Huduma Namba reflects a mere 38 percent while 62 percent of Kenyans remain adamant despite the countless threats meant to bully them into the slow-moving Huduma registration queues.
As the deadline, May 18th fast approaches, Kenyans are expected to flock the centers to register, not because they understand why but because of fear of the unknown. In the confusion of the last minute rush, it is crucial that one is aware of the process and the requirements to avoid a back and forth during the registration.
Requirements for Registration of Huduma Namba
Download the application form online and fill information about:
- Place of birth
- Birth certificate entry number
- Your Parents names
- Parents ID numbers
- Passport number and expiry date
- NHIF number
- NSSF number
- KRA PIN
- Driver’s License number
- Marital status
- Contact details Address- permanent
- Current Disability registration (NEMIS) number (If disabled)
- Nationality (Citizen, non-national or dual citizenship)
- Biodata information
- Biometric details
- Marital status
- Educational particulars
- Agricultural
Present yourself physically ready for a passport photo to the nearest sub-county or sub-chief office.
Carry the following Original documents
- Birth Certificate (If one does not have this, the ID is used)
- Identification Card (ID)
- Driving license
- KRA pin
If you are a parent or guardian to any child age 6 years and above, take the child with you for registration for their passport photo and fingerprints to be taken.
Process of Registration for the Huduma Namba
- Hand in your filled form (You will be given one to fill if you did not download and print for yourself)
- A clerk will use the registration device to conduct a full fingerprint enrolment.
- The clerk will then capture your photo and scan relevant documents including the hard copy form you filled in.
- The captured data is then stored in offline storage and then transferred to a staging server.
- From the staging server, the information is then moved to a Biometric Master Data storage which is a database server.
- Data then matches and verifies the personal data from the MCDA Individual database. The wrong information is rejected while correct and matching data is stored.
