The body of a female police officer, Hellen Kwamboka, was discovered on 24th May in her home in Umoja Estate, Nairobi.
The police officer was an officer based at the Parliament Police Station and had been to the office where she left at around 7 pm.
Hellen was expected to report to work the following day in the morning, which was on Friday, but failed. When police officers tried to reach her from Parliament Police Station, their calls went unanswered prompting them to visit her home in Umoja Estate.
Officers were met by locked doors which led them to suspect that something was amiss. The officers broke into Helen’s house and found her body lying lifeless on her bed.

According to the police officers, Hellen had a deep cut on her head and blood stains were all over her house.
Hellen had signs of strangulation but there was no weapon recovered in her house. The main suspect of Hellen’s murder as per now is her boyfriend who is alleged to have visited her on Thursday evening.
Helen’s phone is among some of the items key to the investigation that is missing.

Helen’s body has currently been moved to Chiromo Mortuary and awaits a post mortem. Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) attached to the Buruburu Police Station have currently embarked on investigating the matter.
