Did You Know: Planting Trees Can No Longer Save The Planet?

Africa

Human beings seem to have forgotten that we need the earth more than it needs us and soon, Mother Nature’s fury will catch up with everyone.

Did you know that planting trees can no longer save the planet as it is being pushed by the environmentalists? Interesting. Right?

The amount of Carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere has become so large that planting trees can no longer save us according to information by Business Insider.

Trees absorb Carbon dioxide for growth but estimates reveal a bleak reality. There is not enough space on earth to plant the number of trees it would take to prevent the climate from warming by -16 Degrees Celsius.

The increase in warming would be devastating, increasing the risk of wildfires that have already been witnessed, drought already taking place in most parts of the world, and extreme storms.

If we planted 1.7 billion acres of trees, we would remove 2 billion tons of atmospheric carbon each year, about 10 percent of what we emit annually.

Planting that many trees wouldn’t solve the problem but it would be a huge help. But wait, 1.7 billion acres of land is about half of the land used for food crops worldwide. Where will the crops be grown if we decided to replace them with trees? The population is still growing. Right? We would starve to death if we tried this.
