Kenya Airways Emerges as the Top Loser of the Day at the NSE

Kenyan Stock Market Exhibited a Downward Trend in October top Safaricom Plc Top

The top loser of the day at the NSE on Wednesday was Kenya Airways followed by Kapchorua Tea Kenya, Olympia Capital, Eveready East Africa, and Uchumi Supermarket.

KQ lost 9.76 percent at the price of 3.70 shillings per share while Kapchorua Tea Kenya and Olympia Capital lost 9.52 and 6.25 percent at the price of 57.00 and 2.25 shillings per share respectively.

Eveready East Africa and Uchumi Supermarket closed the top 5 laggards’ table with 6.12 and 5.56 percent at the price of 0.92 and 0.34 shillings per share respectively.

Those who smiled today by emerging as top gainers were Eaagads, NF Group, Nairobi Securities Exchange, Barclays Bank, and Total Kenya.

Eaagads and HF Group gained 4.00 and 3.70 percent at the price of 13.00 and 4.20 shillings per share respectively.

Nairobi Securities Exchange, Barclays Bank, and Total Kenya gained 2.36, 2.34 and 1.95 percent at the price of 13.00, 10.95 and 28.75 shillings per share respectively.

Safaricom maintained its position as the top mover of the day followed by Kenya Power and Lighting, Co-operative Bank, Equity Group and Barclays Bank.

Safaricom moved 3.40 million shares in volume while Kenya Power, Co-op and Equity Group sold 2.87, 1.96 and 1.34 million shares respectively. Barclays Bank sold 589,700 shares during the session.
