The top five gainers of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) on Thursday were Express, Liberty Kenya, Unga Group, Longhorn Publishers and HF Group.
Express was the top gainer with 7.91 percent at the price of 6.00 shillings per share followed by Liberty Kenya with 7.14 percent at the price of 11.25 shillings per share.
Unga Group, Longhorn Publishers, and HF Group gained 7.04, 6.53 and 6.02 percent at the price of 38.00, 7.50 and 4.40 shillings per share respectively.
The top losers were Olympia Capital, Sanlam Kenya, Diamond Trust Bank, Mumias Sugar Company and Home Afrika.
Olympia Capital and Sanlam Kenya lost 8.00 and 7.86 percent at the price of 2.30 and 21.10 shillings per share respectively.
Diamond Trust Bank, Mumias Sugar Company and Home Afrika lost 6.08, 5.00 and 4.29 percent at the price of 112.00, 0.38 and 0.67 shillings per share respectively.
Safaricom was the top mover after selling 22.56 million shares during the session followed by Equity Group and KCB Group with 5.72 and 4.18 million shares respectively.
NIC Group and Co-operative Bank sold 797,400 and 785,700 shares respectively.
