On Monday, the top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange was Trans-Century who kicked off the week with a gain of 9.59 percent at the price of 4.00 shillings per share.
Others who featured among top 5 gainers on Monday were the East African Cables, Mumias Sugar Company, Carbacid Investments, and Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT.
On Tuesday, Trans-Century was edged out of the top gainer’s position by Sameer Africa which gained 7.94 percent at the price of 3.40 shillings per share. In terms of gaining percentage, however, Trans-Century was above Sameer Africa.
Wednesday was the day of Kapchorua Tea Kenya to shine after emerging as the top gainer of the day with 4.44 percent at the price of 94 shillings per share. This was, however, the lowest percentage of a top gainer during the week.
On Thursday, Sameer Africa roared back to the top gainers’ position with 10.00 percent at the price of 3.85 shillings per share. The gain was more than what it had on Monday by 0.41 percent.
Sameer Africa closed the week as the top gainer of the day with 9.09 percent at the price of 4.20 shillings per share followed by Mumias Sugar Company with 8.57 percent at the price of 0.38 shillings per share.
