Kibra Member of Parliament, Ken Okoth is dead. Okoth died a few hours ago, 26th July 2019, at Nairobi hospital where he was in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Okoth has been battling colorectal cancer and has kept his treatment journey open. Okoth has died while still in office serving in his capacity as an MP.
Okoth had been rushed to Nairobi Hospital’s where he got admitted in ICU on Thursday, 25th July, night after multiple organ failure.
Okoth made his first official public appearance a fortnight ago after being in France for five months where he was receiving treatment for colorectal cancer.
Okoth had attended the Kibra Music Fest at Moi Girls School, Nairobi in the presence of Nairobi Senator Johnstone Sakaja.
Okoth has died at the age of 41 at which he was serving his second term as the MP Kibra.
Okoth becomes the most recent case of a public figure succumbing to cancer after the death of Safaricom Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bob Collymore.
