Laboso Jets Back After Months of Absence

Bomet Governor Dr. Joyce Laboso jetted back into the country on Sunday, July 14, after days of receiving treatment in the United Kingdom Royal Marden NHS Foundation Trust Hospital and India.

The Deputy Governor of Bomet County Dr. Hillary Barchok confirmed the news that his boss arrived in the country on Sunday morning at around 9:00 am and will still continue to receive treatment in the country.

“The Governor arrived home safely and will continue with treatment locally. She still needs our prayers and support,” he said.

According to the Deputy Governor, Dr. Laboso has been responding well to treatment in India but will still not be able to perform her official duties as her doctors have not released her to do that yet.

Dr. Laboso, who had maintained a low-profile weeks before her admission to the United Kingdom hospital was made public has not yet revealed what is ailing her.

In an interview with journalists a few weeks ago, Deputy Governor Dr. Barchok said he would not wish to speak about Governor Laboso’s ailment as it is a private affair.

“The state of the governor’s health is strictly a family affair and if they think it should remain private, we should respect their decision by not speaking for them,” said the Deputy Governor.

After several weeks of receiving treatment in London, it was revealed that her Doctors in the UK had to discharge her so she could travel to India for further treatment.

During her treatment in London and India, the county held a prayer meeting at the county headquarters to pray for and support the county boss.

During the prayer meeting, Bomet County Deputy Governor had said that they would hold another prayer meeting once the Governor is back.
