Dolichos, commonly known as Njahi are currently the most expensive bean type across the country with a 90 Kg bag retailing at an average price of 8,364.29 shillings.
Njahi is known to be prepared during special occasions in most Kenyan communities and this would partly explain why they are a bit pricier than the rest of the bean types.
A 90 Kg bag of Njahi in Nairobi is retailing at 12,500 shillings meaning that a kilogram is being sold at roughly 140 shillings. This is currently the highest price in the country.
Eldoret and Mombasa follow with a price of 10,000 and 8,000 shillings respectively for a 90 Kg bag of Njahi.

A 90 Kg bag of Beans Canadian is being sold at an average price of 7,100 shillings countrywide with Kisumu recording the highest price of 9,600 shillings.
In Nairobi, a bag of Beans Canadian is retailing at 7,200 shillings while in Nakuru the same quantity is being sold at 7,000 shillings.
Notably, this is a fall in prices in Beans Canadian seeing as a 90 Kg bag was being sold at an average price of 7,367 shillings in May.
