Petrol Prices Up As Diesel Slightly Goes Down in New Review

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced the new fuel prices, increasing the price of super petrol while slightly reducing that if diesel for the month of July.

The price of super petrol has been increased by 0.29 shillings per liter. The price of diesel and kerosene has been reduced by 0.88 and 2.31 shillings per liter respectively.

According to the authority, the landed cost of super petrol decreased by 1.83 percent from 55,469.46 shillings per cubic meter in the month of May to 54,384.37 shillings.

The landed cost of diesel dropped by 3.07 percent from 55,164.73 shillings per cubic meter to 53,471.20 shillings. The landed cost of kerosene reduced by 5.49 percent from 55,164.73 shillings per cubic meter to 53,471.20 shillings per cubic meter.

A liter of super petrol is now retailing at 115.39 shillings while that of kerosene is at 101.97 shillings while that of diesel is at 103.88 shillings.

In Nakuru, consumers will part with 115.86 shillings for a liter of super petrol, 104.58 shillings for diesel and 102.69 shillings for kerosene.

Those in Mombasa will pay the cheapest at 112.74 shillings for a liter of super petrol, 101.25 shillings for diesel and 99.35 shillings for kerosene.
