Convenience has become an in-thing and priority for everybody and with the entry of technology into our lives, it has become more achievable with services that once required us to walk or travel long distances now in the palm of our hands.
Co-operative Bank understands these too well if the services they offer and the options they give for one to access service is to go by.
One of their most convenient services for me is that which enables me to deposit money via my M-Pesa. I no longer need to factor in bus fare and time I will need to spend as I journey to a major town to access a Co-op bank.
Depositing money to my account via M-Pesa is convenient and has really boosted my saving spirit as whenever money is within reach, I tend to spend unnecessarily.
Below is the process on how to deposit money to your Co-op account via your M-Pesa
Co-operative Bank’s Lipa na M-Pesa paybill number is 400200.
- Go to M-Pesa menu on your phone and select ‘Lipa na M-Pesa’
- Select ‘Paybill’
- Select ‘Enter business number’ which is 400200 and press ‘enter’
- Enter the Co-op Bank account number you are transferring money to and press ‘enter’
- Enter the amount you intend to transfer and press ‘enter’
- Enter your M-PESA PIN and press ‘enter’
- Confirm all the details are correct and press ‘enter’
- You will receive a verification window from M-Pesa where you have 1 minute to verify that the details are correct, if correct, dismiss or ignore, if wrong, enter the number 1 and press ‘enter’ to cancel the transaction
- You will receive a confirmation SMS from M-Pesa immediately.
- Co-operative Bank will then send you a confirmation SMS shortly.
