On Friday, the KOT community was discussing about one man, Polycarp Igathe, who it says is one lucky guy who exchanges lucrative like one would exchange holiday homes.
Igathe, the current Managing Director and CEO of Equity Bank Kenya is going back to Vivo Energy in an appointment that will become effective on the 1st of September.
At Vivo Energy, Igathe will serve as an Executive President and Marketing, a new role that seems to have just been created for him at the company by the management.
Before joining Equity Bank Kenya, Igathe served as the Deputy Governor for Nairobi County before dramatically resigning over what he termed as frustrations from Governor Mike Sonko.
He was the first Deputy Governor in Kenya to resign after serving for less than a half a year. Before joining politics, he served as the CEO for Vivo Energy for four years.
“I am pleased to announce that Polycarp Igathe will join Vivo Energy as the Executive vice president Sales and Marketing, a newly created role that is being added to the Vivo Energy Management,” said Vivo Energy CEO in a statement.
When he was appointed CEO at Equity Bank Kenya, people saw him as a likely successor to the current Group’s head, Dr. James Mwangi.
