Nation Media Group Starts Off The Week As Top Gainer Of The Day

Kenyan Stock Market Exhibited a Downward Trend in October top Safaricom Plc Top

Nation Media Group emerged as the top gainer of Monday with 9.07 percent at the price of 41.40 shillings per share followed by Olympia Capital with 7.84 percent at the price of 2.20 shillings per share.

East African Portland Cement and Express gained 6.90 and 5.97 percent at the price of 15.50 and 7.10 shillings per share respectively while CIC Insurance Group gained 5.52 percent at the price of 3.25 shillings per share.

The top loser of the day was Sanlam Kenya with 7.65 at the price of 17.50 shillings per share followed by Home Afrika and Uchumi Supermarket who lost 4.00 and 3.33 percent at the price of 0.48 and 0.29 shillings per share respectively.

Nairobi Business Ventures and Kenya Airways lost 3.26 and 2.39 percent at the price of 0.89 and 2.45 shillings per share respectively.

Safaricom kicked off the week as the top mover of the day with a volume of 1.36 million shares (the only trader with a volume above 1 million during the session.)

I&M Holdings and East African Breweries sold 605,600 and 360,200 shares while Britam Holdings and Kenya Electricity Generating Company sold 335,800 and 197,700 shares respectively.
