What is your hope this season of Chapa Dimba na Safaricom?

Abdalla: This season, I’m hoping to travel to Spain with the All-Star team. Last season I was selected among the 32 players however I was missing some documents hence I wasn’t able to travel. This time I have already prepared all my documents early.

What made you start playing football?

Abdalla: Football is my passion. I started playing football from a young age and it’s a dream for me to play this game. I have seen players who are getting so many different opportunities because they are footballers and it has given them a different future which is something I hope to emulate.

Why did you join Berlin FC?

How is it playing football in Garissa? Has Chapa Dimba na Safaricom played any role in elevating football here?

Abdalla: Chapa Dimba na Safaricom has done a lot for the people of Garissa. I have been part of Berlin FC for all three seasons and even when we lost in each of the previous seasons, we always have the same motivation to go back and practice to try and do better the next time. This is because our goal is to win the National finals.

What lessons are you learning from the mentorship sessions?

Abdalla: In the mentorship, we learn so many different lessons and we start to approach matters with maturity. Additionally, even if I don’t succeed in becoming a footballer, there are other career paths I can pursue and still be very successful in life.
