A tragic road accident in the wee hours of Thursday, 14th November 2019, a kilometer from Ntulele town along the Narok-Maai Mahiu road in Narok County, has left two people dead and burnt beyond recognition.
The accident involving a fuel tanker and a truck collided and burst into flames at around 3am.
“The accident happened about a kilometre from Ntulele town along the Narok-Maai Mahiu road in Narok County,” a witnessed said.
According to witnesses the two individuals burnt in the Thursday fuel tanker accident were the driver to the fuel tanker and his turn boy with the two vehicles having been burnt beyond any salvage.
Witnesses said they could not rescue the two as the fire was massive and they were trapped inside the burning the fuel tanker. According to police, the occupants of the canter escaped unhurt but the books they were ferrying were burnt to ashes.
The fuel tanker, according to witnesses, hit the canter that was transporting books to Ntulele area from behind before it exploding into wild flames.
The fuel tanker is reported to have been speeding down Mai Mahiu road when it lost control according to the Narok Sub County Police Commander, Philip Musyoka.
Bodies of the two involved in the Mai Mahiu road fuel tanker accident have since been moved to the Narok County Hospital Mortuary as the two vehicle wreckages were transferred to Ntulele police station.
