Anne Waiguru Threatens To Sue King Kaka Over Wajinga Nyinyi

Anne Waiguru, the governor for Kirinyaga County has threatened to sue musician Anne Waiguru over the “Wajinga Nyinyi” hit song.

According to Anne Waiguru, the song by King Kaka is defamatory in nature and she is calling for it to be pulled down.

Anne Waiguru wants King Kaka to write a letter of apology, pull down the song failure to which she will move to court.

In his song, King Kaka had mentioned Anne Waiguru over the first NYS heist where Kenyans lost billions of shillings with nobody put behind bars.

King Kaka, in his 6-minute song, wondered how  Anne Waiguru became Governor of Kirinyaga County yet it was clear that she took part in the looting of NYS.

According to the song, Anne Waiguru purported to have bought a pen at 8,000 shillings, a pen that Kenyans normally buy 20 shillings in retail shops.

“Ati Anne Waiguru ako kwa ofisi na story ya NYS tulisahau. Biro moja alibuy 8 thao na tunanunuanga mbao. Either sisi ndio wajinga ama ako na marking scheme accau…” Said the song on the governor.

The song has set Kenyans talking and the majority of them say they are standing with King Kaka.

According to the letter written by Anne Waiguru, King Kaka pelted falsehood and needs to apologize but Kenyans want to hear none of it.

“You know or ought to have known that despite extensive investigations and several prosecutions in relation to the loss of funds at NYS, our client has never been charged in a court of law as an accused in relation to NYS scandal,” reads the letter.

Lawyer Ahmed Nassir had offered to give King Kaka free legal services in the event that those mentioned threatened or chose to take legal action against his song.

Kenyans are currently running a hashtag #IStandWithKingKaka as a show of solidarity for King Kaka.
