List Of Countries And Deaths From Coronavirus So Far

Coronavirus continues to spread. More than 96 countries have now reported positive cases of the virus. The number of deaths is past 3,800 with infections being above 105,000.

The number of infections in Africa is still low but seems to be gaining momentum. Egypt has become the first country in Africa to register a death with the number of infections being above 55.

Italy is now the second most affected country after China. The country is now under lockdown with more than 19 million people quarantined.

Iran is the third most hit by the ravaging virus. Some of the leaders in the country have died with more than 23 members of parliament infected.

The East African region is yet to report a single positive case although there are concerns that the virus might already be in the region but governments sitting on the information for fear of panic.

The United States of America says it expects at least 96 million infections in the country and at least 500,000 deaths in a document that leaked to the media.

It is estimated that at least 6 trillion dollars have been wiped off the global markets as a result of the Coronavirus. The most affected sector is aviation with more than 70 airlines have canceled flights to China. African airlines have already lost more than 1 trillion shillings since the breakout of Coronavirus.
