Safaricom Launches PostPay Plan, Gives Customers More For Less

Safaricom Plc has continued to sweep over the Kenyan telecommunications market with new products and services tailored towards giving the customers the best in line with their tagline simple, transparent and honest. So far, a wide range of products and services have been introduced in line with the new look and way of doing things.

Towards the end of the year 2019, the giant telecommunication company became the first to introduce NO EXPIRY for data bundles, as well as calls and SMSs for all the customers. The company also introduced a permanent offer where customers get 50 percent airtime on every top-up by dialing *544# and purchase calls and SMS.

“Last year, when we unveiled ‘For You’ customer commitment, we also made a conscious decision to put more effort into providing greater value and enhanced customer experience for all our customers,” said Sylvia Mulinge, the Chief Customer Officer at Safaricom PLC.

The latest product that is set to see customers enjoy more by spending less and getting more is PostPay. PostPay, according to Safaricom, is a no-expiry product that gives customers access to data bundles, minutes and SMS bundles at an affordable price.

“Customers joining the no-expiry PostPay, which is available on the Safaricom App, webpage or USSD, will have an option of choosing from plans that are within their predefined credit limits or topping up to qualify for higher limits,” said Safaricom.

By joining the PostPay product, the customer will have the following offers:

“The revamped plans will be offered at five price points ranging from 1,000 shillings plan with 5GB data, 400 minutes and unlimited SMS, to 10,000 shillings plan that offers unlimited data, voice and SMS,” said Safaricom.

Once the purchase is made, the offer lasts for up to 30 days. Something interesting to note is that data and minutes on all the plans have no expiry date. The minutes are valid on all local calls across all networks and international calls to China, the USA, Canada, and India. “The new plans will be available on a 30-day basis with any unused resources rolling over to the next month,” said Sylvia Mulinge.

There various advantages that come with the customer joining the PostPay plan such as quick and easy joining process, more value on data and minutes, no expiry on data and minutes. What is more, there is peace of mind given that one will not have to top up for at least 30 days. The process of joining is also easy. One can join by dialing *544# or through the mySafaricom App.
