On 16th March 2020, the speaker of the parliament of the Republic of Uganda announced via twitter that the country had discovered a spray that kills coronavirus and is to be co-produced in Uganda.
“I’ve told Parliament that a spray, which instantly kills the Coronavirus, has been discovered & is to be co-produced in Uganda. It goes on the market next week. The American inventor, Prof. Safraz K. Niaz, was here at the weekend & donated the patent, free of charge to Uganda.”

Twitter was on fire as Ugandans on twitter (UOT) shockingly mocked the parliament calling its discovery a scam. Ugandans refused to believe that Uganda could discover a cure before the USA and other superpower countries.
President Donald Trump is currently talking about his 15 days to slow down the spread of the virus and Uganda is talking about having discovered a spray that kills the virus, this amused so many Ugandans.
According to the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health Diana Atwine, as Ministry of health, they have not yet got that information although it is welcome. She says that whatever intervention, like a treatment for a disease, has to be tested and has to pass the National Drug Authority tests. She, however, said that as the Ministry of Health, they are yet to get this information.
To make matters worse, some tweep tweeted that same day that Uganda is being conned by some mysterious guy who calls himself Prof Safraz Niaz and is claiming to have invented a magic spray that can kill coronavirus.
The tweep adds that president Museveni alongside the speaker of parliament Hon. Rebecca Kadaga has met Prof Safraz Niaz, and they are convinced by what looks very like a scam.
Ugandans are wondering if this professor is really fooling their President or it is their president fooling them in collaboration with this professor looking like a scam.
