Eighteen (18) people were arrested on Sunday night in an apartment in Jamhuri estate in Nairobi after they were caught all naked and with a camera and violating the Ministry of Health directive on converging in the fight against the coronavirus outbreak.

The eighteen (18) were caught naked and with a camera are suspected to have been shooting pornographic material and are set to face the 14 days mandatory quarantine before facing charges on pornography.

The 18 who are all Kenyans were found naked in a house at Hurliqueen Courts Metropolitan in Jamhuri estate and in the possession of a camera with police officers saying they suspect they 18 were undertaking a pornography shoot.

The arrest of the suspected pornographic squad was done after a resident of Jamhuri estate tipped the police of the noisy apartment that was causing the neighbors sleepless nights.

“It was reported today 26th of April 2020 at about 18.45 pm by a resident of Jamhuri that there was a party in a house within the estate. Police visited the apartment namely Hurliqueen courts metropolitan house no. 4 and therein found 18 people all naked with a camera,” reads a police report on the Jamhuri incident that has left neighbors shocked.

Sadly, the individuals arrested in the suspected pornographic shoot include minors ranging between the 14 years of age and 18 and are set to be arraigned in court.

The 18 individuals also include adults ranging between 18 years of age and 30 years who will have a hard time explaining to the courts what it is they were doing naked with the minors once they are done with their 14 mandatory quarantine which according to the directives by the Ministry of Health.

“The eighteen individuals arrested for illegally converging will head for quarantine as required by the law for flouting the dusk to dawn curfew and the ban on social gatherings meant to curb the COVID-19 outbreak spread,” an officer said.

Kenya’s curfew was been extended for a further 21 days together with the Nairobi, Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, and Mandera partial lockdowns restricting movement into and out of the named counties.
