Dear President Uhuru Kenyatta,
Hello Mr. President. How is the House on the Hill? I am sure it is fine given that everything is at your disposal. Again, who doesn’t know that since you were born you have never slept hungry or worried about paying rent and where the next meal will come from?
Anyway, I am not here to talk about whether you have ever slept hungry or worried about paying rent because those terms don’t make any sense to you unless you utilize the services of Google using the WiFi that the taxpayer pays for. I am here to talk about the speech you gave to the nation on Thursday, April 16, 2020.
Mr. President, the people around you at Statehouse might be smiling and telling you how you gave a great speech but let me be the bearer of bad news; you gave a terrible speech and terribly failed Kenyans, again. Your speech was detached from the reality and status the obvious that we have been hearing from the Cabinet Secretary for Health Mutahi Kagwe.
Mr. President, let me remind you something. On March 25, 2020, you stated in your speech that your government had set aside a total of 10 billion shillings to help the elderly and the vulnerable. Nobody has seen a single cent reaching them. On Thursday, April 16, 2020, you again stated that your government has set aside another 8.5 billion shillings for the same elderly and the vulnerable. Ah. Jameni. Ni nani tunadanganya?
People at @StateHouseKenya! Tell President Uhuru Kenyatta that the cash released to the elderly 3 weeks ago (Ksh 10 billion) has never reached them. Today, he announced the release of further Ksh 8 billion for the same (again). Where is the money going? We are not fools.

President Uhuru Kenyatta should know that almost 3 weeks after allocating 10 billion shillings pension for senior citizens (who haven’t received anything since November 2019), the money is yet to reach them and nobody is talking about it. Where is the money?

In your speech Mr. President, people expected more than what you said. You said that your government has identified needy people who were to receive cash from your government in such informal settlements as Kibera. You said some of them have even received financial aid. Who are these people? How many are they? Do you have any data about them?
I would have gone on and on for I have a lot to tell you but let me end it here and have the rest for another day. Enjoy your day Mr. President. For us down here, we are fine.
