Lancet Kenya, a lab service provider who was mandated to run tests on Members of Parliament to establish their Covid-19 status has termed news that 17 MPs and senators were found positive as FAKE and unfounded.
Information has been flying both on social media and mainstream media of mass panic at the National Assembly over “confirmed cases of Covid-19” after a one week of testing exercise.
Kenyans had taken to social media, ironically, celebrating the news and making funny memes about the said MPs. It is not clear as who leaked the information to the media. The Speaker of the National Assembly declined to speak on the matter.
