Health CAS Rashid Aman has addressed the media today, 18th May 2020, and confirmed that the Ministry of Health has tested 1,139 samples in the last 24 hours, and out of these, 25 people have tested positive for COVID-19.
The 25 that have tested positive for COVID-19 have risen the number of confirmed cases in the country to 912 in total.
Twenty-three of the twenty-five that has been confirmed positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours are males and two are females with the youngest being 22 years of age while the oldest is 50 years of age.
Twenty-three of the twenty-five that has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours are Kenyans while two are Somali nationals.
Kenya has so far tested 44,851 samples since the first COVID-19 case was reported with the number of samples tested ranging as the Ministry of Health is not constant on mass testing.
The 25 newly announced COVID-19 infections are spread out in Kenya as follows:

The six cases reported in Kajiado county are all of the truck drivers that have tested positive for COVID-19 along the Namanga border while the Mombasa cases are four from Likoni and one from Nyali.
The three Nairobi COVID-19 cases are spread out in Githurai 44, Starehe, and Kawangware respectively with three cases in the neighboring Kiambu county.
The three Kwale COVID-19 cases are of truck drivers from Lunga Lunga with the same case of positive cases being of truck drivers with Garissa county having reported two cases with one in Dadaab and one in Dagahare.
Meru county has also reported its first COVID-19 case with the number of counties affected increasing to 23 from 20.
Kenya has registered 13 new recoveries increasing the number of recoveries in the country to 336 from 323 and on a most positive note being that the country has not registered any fatality in the last 24 hours.
