Residents in Komarock estate are in shock after a mother of two yesterday night, 13th May 2020, poisoned her two children with an intent to kill them and later hang herself after a poison she had taken failed to work.
Jane Mwende of Komarock state in Nairobi is said to have hung herself with an iron box cable after it seemed to her that the poisonous substance she had taken and given her children was not working as fast as she wanted.
Jane Mwende, according to police officers in Komarock estate left behind a suicide note decrying mistreatment from her husband which she argued had made life impossible for them hence the decision to commit suicide and kill her children.
Police have already launched investigations into the painful case following the information relayed in the suicide note found in Jane Mwende’s bedroom in Komarock estate.
The two children, a boy aged seven-years-old and a 3-year-old girl rescued by her neighbours and rushed to Komarock Modern Hospital where they are admitted in critical condition.
