Anne Waiguru, the Governor for Kirinyaga County is now mweupe kama pamba and free to continue with her duty as Governor after she was cleared by the Senate select committee.
Waiguru was impeached by the County Assembly of Kirinyaga over gross misconduct including misuse of her powers and corruption.
The Committee has dismissed the allegations leveled against her by MCAs calling them baseless and said Waiguru was free to continue serving as Governor.
Some Senators were against the matter being taken to the Committee saying that the matter had already been predetermined and that the sittings were just a waste of time and resources.
