It has been a terrifying 6 months for Felix Orinda alias as DJ Evolve and as long as the man that shot hit on close range, Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino, with the intent to end his life continues to walk free, justice has been fully compromised in Kenya.
Babu Owino is seen in the video clearing pulling his gun and shooting DJ Evolve and is still holding public office, what more can define the epitome of impunity in Kenya and why the rich and powerful have made themselves God and can now freely walk on poor Kenyans.
What is most irritating on these whole DJ Evolve saga where Babu Owino leads his life as a demigod is that it is the same poor Kenyans that have created the power being misused, Babu Owino is a creation of Kenyans ignorance and corrupt nature.
Babu Owino the ‘i-do not-care politician’ was created at East Africa’s best university, Nairobi University, by corrupt students who took bribes to vote him in as SONU’s chairman and from there, he grew to the powerful barbaric politician who will shoot you and foot the bill just to prove how powerful he is.
There is an arrogant saying commonly attached to the Embakasi East Mp, ‘nitakutusi na nikulipe’, loosely translated to mean ‘i will insult you and pay you for it’, Babu Owino did the exact same thing to DJ Evolve, he shot him straight on the neck, at close range and then carried him to hospital.
Babu Owino is educated to know the consequences of having shot one on the neck, he knew DJ Evolve would never be the same again, but he did not want the DJ dead, he wanted to waste him, to ensure he endures years of pain and paralysis, he wanted to prove to the DJ just how powerful he was as he would get away with it.
Babu Owino knew perfectly what a corrupt judicial system Kenya has, it is a cash cow and the Embakasi East MP knew he had lots of money so he could play god.
Internationally the case of Babu Owino being released shocked even leaders of affluent countries, what a helpless confused people that they give offices to people who treat them so bad, how does a man walk scot-free after drawing a gun at close range and shooting a man who posed no danger?
Felix Orinda ‘DJ Evolve’ now lies in his mother’s house in the exact state Babu Owino intended him to be in, DJ evolve is numb from the mid-torsal down and his mother is nurturing him just like she did when he was newborn only now he is not and the man that has her son in that state has no regrets.
Felix Orinda (DJ Evolve), who was shot by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, is numb from his mid-torso down.
He is receiving treatment at home as he clutches onto hope that things will turn around and he’ll return to the DJ decks.#DJEvolveSpeaks pic.twitter.com/zyymjqY7Zn

Babu Owino has moved to PR stunts that he knows will endear him to Kenyans after all they forget too fast, they now know him as the Professor on youtube teachings since COVID-19, not the Murderer who shot DJ Evolve at close range despite the fact that the DJ can now not even answer a call of nature by himself.
“Staki kuongea story ya huyu, staki kuongea,”(I don’t wish to speak on this person, I don’t want to) an emotional DJ Evolve’s mother says of Babu Owino on an interview with NTV Kenya adding the hospital bill was around 17 million but the MP settled 7 million by the time DJ Evolve was released for homecare.
DJ Evolve’s mother now no longer attends work as she has to stay home and care for her son and upon being asked whether Babu Owino had reached out to her, the mother who is too scared for her life that her image had to be blurred on the NTV interview breaks down with a sad no.
“I am waiting for justice to see what will go through,” DJ Evolve says with a husky voice thanks to the pipes that had to be placed in his body to save his life all this time, a healthy Babu Owino
Justice delayed is justice denied if the like of ‘Jowie’ Joseph Irungu who was alleged to have killed Monica Kimani spent 435 days in Kamiti prison, Babu Owino who was seen on CCTV shooting DJ Evolve only spent a meer 7 days in remand before he was granted ridiculous bail terms.
For DJ Evolve, it is justice denied for it has been delayed, the system is justice too corrupt to care for its own children.
Kenyans anger has been renewed by the DJ Evolve story aired on NTV and they have again joined forces online to call for justice.
