President Uhuru Kenyatta has today axed off the National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale in a meeting held at the KICC.
The National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has since been replaced with the Kipipiri Member of Parliament Amos Kimunya.
“Tupatane hapa Monday Mheshimiwa. I wish to invite you for a Jubilee Coalition National Assembly Parliamentary Group meeting at KICC, 22nd June 2020 at 9am, please be punctual,” the message from President Uhuru wrote to the legislatures.
The changes that have seen Aden Duale removed from being the National Assembly Majority Leader were read by Jubilee Majority Whip Emmanuel Wangwe.
Aden Keynan has also been announced as the new coalition secretary in the Jubilee Coalition National Assembly Parliamentary Group meeting that lasted 30 minutes.
Deputy President William Ruto was in attendance in the meeting that legislatures allied to him chose to keep off.
Aden Dale’s removal from the office of the National Assembly Majority Leader comes at a time when when he has been accused of sabotaging the party’s agendas.
Aden Duale once a very outspoken legislature who defended Jubilee and the government vehemently had chosen to keep quiet as the news of his removal began before his actual day with the President.
Axing of legislatures said to be allied to Deputy President William Ruto begun with the removal of Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen and his counterpart Susan Kihika.
In what has been termed as a Jubilee purge or divorce by others, Deputy President William Ruto leaves many confused as he remains beside his boss yet also dines with the legislatures said to be sabotaging the party.
Aden Duale faces criticism from 130 legislatures who accused him of sabotaging the ruling party’s agenda.
It remains unclear what will happen to those that missed the Jubilee Coalition National Assembly meeting by President Uhuru that saw Aden Duale tossed off even with threats having been sent out by the Parties Vice Chairman.
“Missing the PG meeting should not come to anyone’s mind. Disciplinary actions are crystal clear in Jubilee Party Pact Act to those who are deviating from fundamental requirements of the Party,” Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe wrote on Facebook.
