461 people have tested positive of Covid-19 in 24 hours according to the Ministry of Health. Of the 461, a total of 320 were men while 141 were women. The total number of confirmed cases now stands at 11,252.
A total of 4,261 samples were tested in 24 taking the total number of samples tested since the first case to 225,465. Of the 461 positive cases, 432 are Kenyans and 29 are foreigners.
51 people were discharged during the day taking the total number of those who have recovered from the virus to 3,068. Sadly, 7 people have lost their lives, taking the total number of fatalities to 209.

“To reduce the risk of transmission of the disease amongst healthcare workers there is a need to monitor them to comply with standard precautions and providing mechanisms for improvement as needed,” said Health CAS Rashid Aman.
The positive cases have 432 Kenyans and 29 foreigners while 320 are males and 141 are females. By age, the youngest is a one year old infant while the oldest is 86.#KomeshaCorona

The Ministry has also restricted services at Pumwani Maternity Hospital after 41 staff tested positive of Covid-19. For now, only emergency cases are the ones being admitted to the hospital.
