The number of Covid-19 confirmed in Kenya has risen to 11,673 after 421 new cases were confirmed in the past 24 hours after the testing of 3,895 samples.
409 of the 421 cases are Kenyans while 12 are foreigners. The number of men with positive cases continues to rise, accounting for 297 compared to 124 for women.
The total number of samples tested so far stands at 230,096. A total of 570 patients have recovered in 24 hours bringing the total number of recoveries to 3,638.

8 patients have lost their lives, taking the total number of fatalities to 217. The Ministry of Health has continued calling on Kenyans to continue adhering to the regulations set by the government.
Today, we have discharged 570 patients, 58 from various hospitals and 512 from home based care. This now brings our cumulative number of recoveries to 3638.

“Factories must ensure that they do not endanger the lives of their employees. People must observe the measures,” said the CS for Health Mr. Mutahi Kagwe.
Today’s results were released in Nakuru County where the Health CS has been to find out how prepared the count is in terms of Covid-19.
