Online cons are a disadvantage that came with technology and with the mass retrenchment, the online community is now flooded with both legit and con-people as Kenyans seek to survive amidst a crumbling economy.
The Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) seems to have been working round the clock to sieve the online community of the cons and this is evidenced by the latest arrests of three suspects who indulged in a fake fish supplements business in Nairobi’s Roysambu area.
The three suspects namely; Isaac Njoroge, Dennis Mugambi Kamwara, and Brenda Watetu Kamau as part of the criminal gang identifying with alias names Ziporah Kariuki, Hamisi, Jonah and Stephen Maina who were taken into custody yesterday evening, 6th July 2020.
The DCI Cautions members of the public to be careful whenever engaging in any online business transactions with individuals, agencies and/or companies whose physical addresses and legality of operations they do not know.

The DCI noted that investigations into cases of con artists online were being investigated and that the arrested trio of cons will be charged with Obtaining Money by False Pretences C/Sec 313 of the Penal Code.

The fish dietary are mostly preferred for children, elderly or people with low immunity and during this COVID-19 pandemic, they have been seen to be of more importance as people try to boost their immune system.
