DADA By Stanbic Is A True Testimony Of It Can Be

Stanbic Bank moved from Moving Forward to a new journey of It Can Be that the lender says it is about relationships, understanding, sense of belonging, and sense of purpose for customers and clients. The focus of the bank will be on empowering others.

“There have been many winners before. Some thought they couldn’t do it, but down the line, they conquered it all. You can conquer too. Keep chasing your dreams for it can be,” said the bank during the unveiling of Bridgid Kosgei who will be the face of It Can Be.

The story behind It Can Be resonates with the journey the bank started in 2019 through the launch of DADA that provides essential financial and non-financial services that Kenyan women need to grow with the aim of reducing the financial inclusion gender gap in Kenya.

DADA, which means Dare to Aspire Dare to Achieve’ addresses women’s need to save, borrow, invest and protect. It gives women access to education, information, networking opportunities, and wellness.

“It Can Be speaks to the philosophy of who we are and where we are going as a Kenyan Bank. We recognize that we would not be where we are today without the support and trust of our clients and employees,” said the bank’s Chief Executive Mr. Charles Mudiwa.

During the launch of It Can Be, Stanbic Bank partnered with Brigid Kosgei in line with its commitment to women empowerment which is core to its operations. “We are putting their dreams and aspirations at the forefront, providing them with experiences, platforms, and innovative solutions to unlock great possibilities,” said Mr. Mudiwa.

Through its women proposition DADA, the bank continues to proactively invest in women and their business for a more equitable progressive society. Through various financial and non-financial offerings, the bank has managed to onboard over 10,000 women, and the numbers keep growing.

DADA is more than banking. It’s a solution built on an understanding that the woman of today not only needs customized financial solutions but also support that enables her to learn, connect and grow in all aspects of her life.

The inspiration behind rolling out DADA is simple, women are a key pillar in our society, and as a Kenyan bank and we understand the Kenyan woman. Kenyan women have an entrepreneurial spirit, they are progressive, they rely on and encourage each other especially during tough times.

Today, women are earning more and spending more, therefore making them a profitable SME customer group. At the same time, women are more cautious investors, loyal, have better loan payback rate, and take a long-term view.
