Pascal Tokodi’s Encounter With Uhuru Leaves KOT Divided

Minimum Wage

By Clinton Ochieng

A short clip which was shared by popular Kenyan actor Pascal Tokodi, shows President Kenyatta strolling alone while dressed in a pair of black trousers, a flowery shirt, and a black face mask.

A frenzied Tokodi, who was in the company of a friend in the car, can be heard requesting the Head of State to watch a program (Selina) that he stars in.

The video, posted on Tokodi’s Instagram page on Wednesday evening, has since garnered more than 165,000 views. It was also shared countless times on other social media platforms.

The video has left Kenyans divided with some supporting the actor for promoting his show and others criticizing him for not asking “more serious questions”.

This raises the question of what would you ask the president in fifteen seconds if you got the same chance? On Twitter, both “Pascal Tokodi”  and “Selina”  were top trending topics separately.

Kenyans took to Twitter to either support or criticizing Takodi’s question to the president. Defending the actor, journalist Ferdinand Omondi said Kenyans just love being angry. But Philip Etemessy wondered why people were defending the actor.

“There is no way you can defend Pascal Tokodi. He lives in a bubble hence he had no complaint to make to the president,” he said.
