Queen Elizabeth was crowned on June 2, 1953. She has been in power ever since. She is now 94 years old. Her husband, Prince Phillip, is now 99 years old.
Queen Elizabeth is now the longest-serving in the history of England. Her successor will also be the longest in wait, that is if he doesn’t kick the bucket earlier than the queen.
Analysts say the way the queen is living, she might clock 120 years. That will have to be put down in the Guinness World Records for the longest-serving, and the oldest to ever hold the position.
During the reign, the queen has seen 14 presidents of the United States of America come and go and has seen over 20 elections of the United States.

The Queen succeeded to the Throne on 6 February 1952 on the death of her father, King George VI. She was in Kenya at the time and became the first Sovereign in over 200 years to accede while in Kenya.
There are many things about the queen that the world doesn’t know. For instance, she never gives speeches and if she does, it must be on very special occasions.
The queen’s position in England is ceremonial but she holds the majority of powers to run and determine the government of the day. The majority of the power lies with the Prime Minister.
