287 Candidates To Miss Their KCSE 2020 Results

A total of 287 candidates will not receive their KCSE 2020 results for cheating. 90 percent of them were found with examination materials in the exam room.

45 candidates were found with mobile phones in examination rooms and will also not receive their KCSE results. Education CS George Magoha said that investigations are ongoing and some results might be recalled.

“We may recall some results. Forensics are going on and once we find any compelling evidence that irregularities were committed, the results will be recalled,” said CS Magoha.

Education CS Professor George Magoha has finally released the much-anticipated Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE 2020) results.

A total of 752,891 students sat for the national examination that was done under the fierce Covid-19 pandemic that has hit hard various sectors in the country.

A total of 893 candidates got A plain in KCSE 2020. Candidates who have scored C+ and above are 143,140. This is the minimum entry grade to a university.

To get KCSE results 2021 by SMS send an SMS with your Index Number to 20076 for Safaricom, Airtel, and Telcom networks.

How To Check KCSE Results Through Online:

  1. Visit the Official KNEC website (knec.ac.ke)
  2. Check for the KCSE Results tab, click on it.
  3. Select the year you sat for the Exams.
  4. Enter your Index number.
  5. Finally, click the Submit button.
  6. Your KCSE results should show on the screen after a while.

Candidates should visit their examination centers for their official results slip.

The ministry of education advises parents teachers and pupils to check the KCSE results and KCSE result slip for any anomaly such as incorrect candidate’s name, school name, and code as well as wrong subject grade and report to KNEC within a month after the KCSE results announcement.
