Super Petrol Up Again, Diesel And Kerosene Remain Constant

The price of Super Petrol has increased again but that of Kerosene and diesel has remained constant in the new announcement by the Energy Petroleum and Regulatory Authority (EPRA) that will be in place for the next 30 days.

The price of Super Petrol has gone up by 0.77 shillings per liter. “The price of Diesel and Kerosene has remained unchanged,” said EPRA.

With the new prices, the price of a liter of Super Petrol will retail at 127.14 shillings in Nairobi while that of Diesel and Kerosene will be at 107.66 and 97.85 shillings per liter respectively.

At the same time, the price of Super Petrol in Mombasa will be 124.72 shillings while that of Diesel and Kerosene will be at 105.27 and 95.46 shillings per liter.

The people of Nakuru will pay 126.75 shillings for a liter of Super Petrol and 107.55 and 97.76 shillings for Diesel and Kerosene respectively. The people of Eldoret will part with 127.67 shillings for Super Petrol and 108.46 and 98.68 shillings for Diesel and Kerosene respectively.

Those from the Lakeside City of Kisumu will pay 127.67 shillings for Super Petrol and 108.46 and 98.68 shillings per liter for Diesel and Kerosene respectively.

The government opted to subsidize the price of Diesel to shield Kenyans from the rising cost of living. The government says it has already paid more than 1 billion shillings to fuel sellers to cushion Kenyans.
