Kenya’s real estate company, Mi Vida, held a successful 2-day open day event at their massive project at the Garden City giving Kenyans a first-hand exclusive tour across its projects meant to supplement Kenya’s demand for sufficient affordable housing.
The event happened both online and offline over the weekend on 3rd and 4th July. It allowed existing and prospecting customers an opportunity to visit the Mi Vida Homes show house and learn more about the projects.
Launched in 2019, Mi Vida Homes is located at the Garden City, Thika Superhighway, and has been centered on green space and family living. The project is on course and will be complete by March of 2022.
Both existing and prospective clients of Mi Vida have something to smile about after the developer partnered with Absa Kenya Bank to introduce a 25-year mortgage facility targeting middle-income families seeking affordable homes within Nairobi.
According to both entities, the partnership will enable Kenyans to own 1-2-3 bedroom homes at Mi Vida Homes next to Garden City, Nairobi. At the same time, new homeowners will enjoy up to 90 percent financing for mortgage facilities from ABSA Kenya at a discounted rate of 12.5 percent pa. Mi Vida Homes are furnished and appliances installed ready for use.
Besides the Mi Vida proposition, Absa’s mortgage flexible offers different options towards homeownership such as financing land purchases and disbursing construction loans as well as home loans for self-employed individuals.
During the open day, participants were taken through the details of the Mi Vida and Absa Bank partnership and what it means for them in their journey to owning a house. Mi Vida’s projects are coming at a time the government of Kenya has stepped up efforts to ensure that at least 500,000 affordable housing units are constructed before 2022.
