DCI Hunts for an Infamous Criminal Gang Terrorizing Nakuru Residents

Criminal gang

Detectives based in Gilgil are hunting for a notorious criminal gang terrorizing people across Nakuru County.

The gang has been roughing up members of the public before bundling them in a white Toyota Noah and robbing them of their possessions.

The infamous knife-wielding gang of four men, including the driver, picks out specific targets in remote regions, bundles them into their car, ties them up, and blindfolds them, before robbing and dumping them somewhere else.

In one such incident in Gilgil, a man who was waiting for a matatu by the roadside was shoved into the said vehicle and robbed.

His cash, some shopping and Cooperative, and Equity Bank ATM cards were stolen by the gang.

He was then tied up and the blindfolded victim was later flung from the moving vehicle at Kariandusi, after being forced to reveal the PINs for the atm cards.

Passersby rescued him, thereafter reporting to the police. Members of the public in Nakuru and beyond are urged to beware of this trend.

The detectives urge anyone with any information that would lead to the identification of the culprits or vehicle that is believed to be using different registration number plates, to report to any police station.
