The Secretary-General of the Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Mzee Francis Atwoli has been feted by Kenya Airways for flying the airline for 50 years.
Mzee Atwoli was awarded the “Platinum Elite Life-Time Member” on October 12 for being consistent in using Kenya Airways whenever he flies for a half a century.
The delegation that awarded Francis Atwoli was led by Chief Human Resource Officer Everlyne Munyoki who called on other Kenyans to emulate Mzee Atwoli in being proud of the national airline.
“This recognition is as a result of patriotism to the National Airline considering that Dr. Atwoli has been flying with KQ for close to 50 years,” said Kenya Airways in a statement.
At the same time, as a token of appreciation. Dr. Atwoli will be able to fly to a destination of his choice after the airline presented him with a free business class return ticket.
“We have also gifted Dr. Atwoli with a free business class return ticket to any destination of his choice that is serviced by KQ,” added Kenya Airways.
On his part, Mzee Francis Atwoli said that he will never stop using Kenya Airways for it has become part of him after using it for “so many years.” He appealed to Kenyans to use Kenya Airways because it is “the best in the world.”
“I am extremely grateful for the Platinum Elite Life Member recognition for Kenya Airways. For over 50 years, KQ remains my airline of choice,” he said.
