President Uhuru Kenyatta is in South Africa for a three-day visit. The President is holding talks with President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa. On their first meeting, the two heads of state discussed the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on the continent.
Jointly, both President Uhuru Kenyatta and Cyril Ramaphosa have agreed to set up a presidential task team to expedite visa-free travel for Kenyans to South Africa. This means that once put in place, Kenyans will visit South Africa without requiring to have a visa.
Reports indicate that they will begin with business people, students, and medical tourists as they plan to roll out to all Kenyans.
The two heads also signed 8 agreements altogether, including health cooperation, diplomatic consultation, and others.
