Swiss Education Group Pays A Courtesy Call To Najib Balala

Swiss Education Group kicked off their maiden visit to Kenya today with a courtesy visit to The Cabinet Secretary of Tourism, Hon Najib Balala.

The team that is led by Thomas Fitzgibbon – Vice President of International Development & Marketing, Nabil Elouardi – Senior Regional Manager; the Middle East & Africa and Ivy Mutiso – Regional Manager East Africa, discussed various partnership opportunities that Swiss Education Group can initiate to support the Government initiative to revamp the Hospitality Sector in Kenya.

During the conversation with CS Balala, the Swiss Education Group reiterated their desire to work with Kenya Utalii College by conducting a full curriculum audit to ensure that it meets the needs of a dynamic market. This will further be extended to Ronald Ngala Utalii College in Kwale County.

“Kenya represents one of the fastest-growing economies in Africa, with tourism as one of its biggest contributors to the GDP, we are keen to collaborate with the government and private sector and replicate the success we enjoy as a world leader in hospitality management education back in Switzerland here in Kenya”. Commented Mr. Thomas Fitzgibbon.

Swiss Education Group is on a visit to Kenya to meet with various stakeholders within the education sector in an effort to create awareness of their programs especially in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Tourism, and Entrepreneurship.

“Each of our schools offers a different educational focus but they all share the same diverse international experience, firmly rooted in the Swiss tradition of hospitality education. In Kenya, we have continued to provide a steady stream of students throughout the years many of whom have ascended to the pinnacle of their professions locally and globally.,” concluded Mr. Fitzgibbon.
