Viewers on DStv and GOtv can look forward to thrills and spills from the world’s best basketball league, with ESPN and ESPN 2 the premier venues for coverage of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

The 2021-22 season will continue through the week of  Friday 19 to Thursday 25 November 2021. DStv and GOtv are your home of the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network.

The first of three live NBA Regular Season games this week arrives on the morning of Saturday 20 November, as the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers renew their storied rivalry with a meeting at the TD Garden in Massachusetts (02:30 LIVE on ESPN 2).

The Lakers are still reeling from recent losses to the Oklahoma City Thunder in which they gave up big leads – and a major improvement will be needed against the Celtics in their own backyard.

“Defensively we were all over the place,” said Anthony Davis. “I feel like they were waiting on our coverages and were just picking us apart… For some reason this team comes in every time they make shots against us, they made 15 3s again tonight.”

The Celtics-Lakers game will be immediately followed by the Phoenix Suns hosting the Dallas Mavericks (05:00 LIVE on ESPN 2) in Arizona. The Mavericks will be looking to improve on some recent inconsistencies, but coach Jason Kidd sees signs of real promise.

“Being able to play with pace, getting into the offense a little bit quicker gave us the advantage,” Kidd said. “On a back-to-back, sometimes that’s hard to do, but I thought the guys looked to score after the steal.”

The third and final live game arrives on the evening of Sunday 21 November and sees the Dallas Mavericks have a quick turnaround for their clash in Los Angeles against the Clippers (22:30 LIVE on ESPN).

The Clippers recently showed their never-say-die spirit with a stunning 104-84 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in which they recovered a 20-point deficit. They will look to bring the same kind of fight to their clash at home to Dallas.

“To be down 20 on the road and come back to win by 20 just shows a lot about our team, our character, our resilience and not giving up,” Los Angeles coach Tyronn Lue said. “We could have easily given in… but our guys kept fighting, kept competing. That’s what you love to see.”
