The secret to happiness
Roy T. Bennett, in The Light in the Heart, said that attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make makes you. Choose wisely.
Tom Bodett, on the other hand, said that a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for. Audrey Hepburn added and said that the most important thing is to enjoy your life—to be happy—it’s all that matters.
The festive season
Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmastime. That time has come and is here with us.
The jingle bells have started sounding and the Christmas mood is fast-approaching. It is a season of joy, happiness, and peace. A time for people to come together and reflect on the year that was.
This is the season that many people get to travel to ushago because it is the only time that they get some free time. It is, therefore, the season for family and friends. A time to come together and celebrate as one.
Talking of going to ushago, the Matatu Association announced that buses heading to Western Kenya are fully-booked for the Christmas holiday. At the same time, the SGR train from Nairobi to Mombasa is fully-booked too. Shows how serious people are taking this Christmas.
We all agree that this Christmas is coming after a tough year. The Covid-19 pandemic has been sweeping across the country for the whole year. People have been living in fear not knowing what will befall them the next minute. But here we are. Still breathing. Still smiling.
This Christmas is time to breathe. To hope for a better and prosperous 2022 and remember all the best moments that we might have experienced this year.
