Once again, Molo Academy has hit the headlines after it was closed indefinitely, now for the third time just within a span of two months.
Molo Sub County Education Officer, Mr. Musikoyo, hinted that the school was closed immediately after the learners blatantly refused to go to class after the morning Assembly on December 1st, 2021.
“After the morning assembly, the students refused to go to class and demanded to go home. We deployed a contingent of police officers at the school in order to prevent any damages,” said Mr. Musikoyo.
The preliminary investigation into the incident revealed that the students want the school management changed immediately. They are tired of the current administration, and to that effect, they need a fresh Administration.
Molo Academy Boys had again hit the headlines on Nov 1st when they damaged school properties. Earlier on Sep 6, the boys had again been sent home indefinitely after they went on a rampage and damaged school properties.
Poor School diet and insufficient water in the school are among the top grievances raised by the students, and this is what has heralded the recurring demos in the school.
